Kiwanis Club of BG is a service club that is dedicated to improving the lives of children in this community. Each year we partner with several organizations to provide grant as well as Volunteers for their service projects and events. Below is just a few. 

• Service Leadership Programs SLP. We support the South Warren HS Key Club, Bowling Green HS Key Club, and the BG Park & Rec Aktion Club.
• Salvation Army Bell Ringing program.
• Polar Express at the Historic RailPark.
• Community Education's Stand for Children's Day.
• Warren Co Park & Rec Father-Daughter Dance and Mother-Son Dodgeball.
• Warren Co Park & Rec Art in the Park

Fundraising activities are essential for supporting the work of our Kiwanis Club for community non-profits. They not only raise vital funds but also enhance community engagement and awareness. The Kiwanis Club is a proud organizer of two long running events. BG ThunderFest is in its 53rd year and going strong. With the recent move in the Warren County's Ephrain White Park there is more room to grow the event. The All-American Soap Box Derby has been a generation staple of this community, first beginning in 1938 and revising the event in 1998. Young participants work on their derby cars, so they have a chance to win and continue to the All-American Soap Box Derby® World Championship race in Akron, Ohio. These events not only generate funds through sponsorships and admission sales but also provide a platform for enjoyable community participation.

This decade, the club has added Cornhole for a Cause and BG Kiwanis Mardi Gras Madness. Both events have successfully added to our Service Fund to help more children in the community.
